‘Afko Quiz’ Video's

SUSA Studentenwerk is a Dutch temporary employment agency based in the Netherlands, whose main target audience is students in higher education. They provide flexible hours for students during their studies, while giving companies full-time availability for open roles. They use social media to engage their target audience and their tone of voice is based on being a ‘senior student friend’. They share practical tips for students in the Netherlands, such as cheap recipes, financial advice, job vacancies and more relevant topics for Dutch students.

Client

Over the years, SUSA has built a brand on various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. During my time there, their TikTok presence was still in it’s infancy. To increase the follower count and views, we repurposed old content about the ‘Afko Quiz’, a video in which Dutch students were interviewed about their knowledge regarding student abbreviations. The repurposed TikTok video’s gained a lot of views, which inspired a new series of interviews with the same topic, which I produced, shot and edited.

Project

The video’s gained a combined total of 800.000 organic views on TikTok. The video’s were relatable, based on memes and topical, which created an engaged audience for SUSA’s TikTok profile. During my time at SUSA, I helped increase the organic reach on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube by 24% through short-form video content.
